According to reports, a gas leak was reported from Rama Cold Storage in Sadha Mohalla under the Mufassil police station area of Chhapra, Bihar at around 2130 hours (local time) on Thursday (04 June).

• A pungent smell reportedly spread in the area, causing breathing discomfort, vomiting, and suffocation-like symptoms among some residents. Four people were affected and transported by ambulance to Chhapra Sadar Hospital for treatment.
• The incident caused panic in the locality, with several residents moving out of their homes to open areas and nearby streets. Further details on the cause of the leak and containment status are awaited.
