According to reports, the remains of Malaysia’s fifth prime minister, Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, arrived at Masjid Negara at about 0815 hours, where final rites are being carried out ahead of his burial on Tuesday (15 April).
• From 1100 hours to 1300 hours, members of the public will be allowed to pay their last respects to the former prime minister at the mosque’s main prayer hall.
• He will be laid to rest at the Heroes’ Mausoleum, National Mosque after the zohor (afternoon) prayers; after 1330 hours.
• Singapore’s Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong will also attend the state funeral along with officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
