As per reports, French presidential candidate Francis Lalanne is scheduled to launch his 2027 presidential campaign with a rally in Montmartre, Paris, on Saturday (22 August).
• Reports indicate that Lalanne may present the main points of his political programme during the evening event, including proposals to leave the European Union and NATO and reintroduce the French franc.
• The campaign event may take place at a small theatre with a capacity of approximately 100 people. Reports indicate that Lalanne is seeking 500 endorsements from elected officials to support his presidential candidacy.
