As per reports, several roads remain inundated in Madurawala, Palindanuwara, Millaniya and Bulathsinhala areas of Kalutara District due to the heavy rainfall on Tuesday (20 August).

• Meanwhile, it is also reported that the sluice gates of Kukule Ganga Reservoir and Deduru Oya Reservoir continue to remain open.
• Heavy showers above 100 mm are likely at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
• Fairly strong winds of about 30-40 kmph are also expected at times over Western slopes of the central hills and in Northern, North-central and North-western provinces and in Hambantota District.
