As per reports, heavy rainfall has resulted in flooding on the railway line between Karangjati Station and Gubug Station in Grobogan Regency since the early hours of Friday (03 April).

• Floodwaters reached a depth of 25 centimetres above the rail head on the downstream section at KM 32+7/8, as detected by infrastructure officers at 0145 hours (local time).
• PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Daop 4 Semarang has declared the downstream track unsafe for passage, restricting all train traffic to the upstream track. Trains from both directions are being managed alternately on the single available track, leading to queues and delays.
• At least eight passenger trains have been affected, including the Kertajaya and Darmawangsa (bound for Jakarta), and the Gumarang, Jayabaya, Harina, and Argo Anjasmoro (bound for Surabaya). Two freight trains have also been delayed, impacting logistics movements toward Jakarta and Surabaya.
• Train delays of approximately 10 to 15 minutes have been reported due to controlled single-track operations and queuing at the affected section.
• Authorities have deployed monitoring teams and operational safety measures to ensure the continued safe passage of trains while restoration efforts are ongoing.
