Flood warnings issued for parts of Queensland on Friday (03 January)

The Bureau of Meteorology has issued flood warnings for Queensland’s South Burnett region, with minor flooding along the Boyne River at Dunollie and potential minor flooding for the Burnett River at Mundubbera, Gaydah, and Walla on Friday (03 January). The potential for some precipitation and thunderstorms remains until Saturday (04 January).

The following rivers are predicted to face minor flooding: the Burnett River at Mundubbera, the Stuart River at Proston, the Boyne River at Boondooma Dam and Dunollie. Furthermore, minor flooding may occur along the Burnett River downstream of Mundubbera to Paradise Dam and downstream of the Paradise Dam.

• Major flooding is likely to continue along the Boyne River at Cooranga.
