As per reports, rapid snowmelt caused high flows in rivers and streams in some parts of Colorado and Wyoming, due to which the National Weather Service issued multiple flood warnings and watches on Sunday (09 June).
• Minor flooding is forecast for the Arkansas River near Cañon City in Colorado. The river is expected to rise above flood stage on Sunday (09 June) evening and rise to 10.3 feet on Monday (10 June) afternoon.
• A flood warning is in effect until 1600 hours local hours on Monday (10 June) along the Little Laramie near the Vee-Bar Ranch and upstream and downstream of Highway 130 in Albany County in Wyoming.
• A flood warning continues for the following rivers in Colorado: Arkansas River near Avondale, and Arkansas River near Cañon City.
• A low to moderate flood threat is predicted along the Interstate 25 corridor and adjacent areas, where slow-moving areas of heavy rain are possible.
