Flood alert issued for parts of France on Tuesday (01 October)

As per reports, on Tuesday (01 October), twelve departments in France have been placed on a yellow rainfall-flood alert due to the ongoing heavy rainfall, indicating potential flooding risks.

• The departments under alert include Ain, Hautes-Alpes, Cher, Doubs, Indre, Isère, Jura, Saône-et-Loire, Savoie, Haute-Savoie, Vendée, and the Territoire de Belfort. There is a possibility that these alerts could escalate to orange levels throughout the day.
• Météo France forecasts heavy rainfall for the evening of Tuesday (01 October) and the night leading into Wednesday (02 October), particularly in the central and eastern regions. Accumulations could exceed 50 millimetres within 24 hours in the affected areas.
