Flight disruptions reported in Delhi on Monday (15 December)

As per reports, around forty flights were cancelled while several others were delayed due to low visibility as a thick blanket of smog covered Delhi and the national capital region (NCR) on Monday (15 December).

Delhi Airport issued a travel advisory urging passengers to check their flight status with the respective airlines before planning their journeys. Additionally, the following airlines have issued advisories regarding their operations at Delhi Airport:

• Air India, through its official ‘X’ handle, announced disruptions to its operations due to dense fog in Delhi and stated that it is closely monitoring the situation and will resume services shortly. Air India flights cancelled so far include: AI2767 / 2768, AI1787 / 1872, AI1721 / 1837, AI1701 / 1806, AI1725 / 1860, AI1745 / 1890, AI1797 / 1838, AI1703 / 1884, AI2653 / 2808, AI2469 / 2470, AI866, AI1737 / 1820, AI1719 / 1844, AI1785 / 1851, AI2495 / 2496, AI1715 / 1816, AI3313 / 3314, AI881 / 882, AI2465 / 2880.
• SpiceJet also announced disruptions to flight services due to poor visibility at the Delhi Airport.
• IndiGo also announced disruption to flights scheduled to and from Delhi due to dense affecting visibility at Delhi.
• Akasa Air also reported disruptions to flight services in Northern India due to poor visibility.
