As per reports, the fire department responded to a fire incident in block 12 of Jr. Huancavelica, near block 2 of Argentina Avenue, behind Plaza Unión in Lima’s Cercado district on Monday (13 May).

Reports indicate that the fire originated in a warehouse adjacent to a building. The cause remains unknown, and there have been no reports of injuries.

• The emergency was reported shortly before 1630 hours (local time), prompting six units to collaborate in controlling and extinguishing the fire. Firefighters managed to bring the fire under control. Witnesses stated that the warehouse stored gas cylinders, plastics, and other materials.
