Fire incident reported at wood workshop in Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday (19 April)

As per reports, a fire was reported at a wood processing workshop located on My Phuoc – Tan Van Road in An Phu ward, Ho Chi Minh City, on Sunday (19 April). The incident occurred at approximately 1100 hours (local time), originating in the sawdust dust extraction area before rapidly spreading across the facility.

• The fire was accompanied by multiple explosions and thick black smoke rising from the site, affecting the area near the An Phu roundabout. Workers and on-site security personnel initially attempted to contain the fire using extinguishers and water; however, these efforts were unsuccessful due to high temperatures and the presence of flammable materials.
• Emergency response teams were deployed to the scene, and by approximately 1130 hours (local time), the fire was largely brought under control. Authorities remain on-site to monitor the situation and investigate the cause of the incident.
