As per reports, a fire broke out at a single-storey plastic factory in Chuong My Ward, Hanoi, at approximately 0807 hours (local time) on Friday (28 August), generating thick black smoke that engulfed the surrounding area.
• Firefighting and Rescue Team No. 28 was dispatched with specialized vehicles and personnel, while ward police and the Military Command arrived at approximately 0810 hours (local time) to assist with firefighting operations.
• Firefighting and Rescue Teams No. 2, 4, 15, 16, 28 and 33 were subsequently mobilised, with additional fire trucks, command vehicles, excavators and bulldozers deployed to support the response.
• As of approximately 0830 hours (local time), no casualties has been reported, while authorities are continuing efforts to contain and completely extinguish the fire.
