As per reports, the Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System has been placed on alert in response to heightened wildfire risk across West Texas, as of Tuesday (25 February). The Texas Division of Emergency Management has activated state wildfire resources due to continous dry conditions.

• State and local firefighting teams, including personnel from the Texas Forest Service, are prepared with fire engines, bulldozers, motor graders, and aircraft to respond to potential wildfire outbreaks.
• The highest fire risk is forecast for the Far West and Big Bend regions, with elevated wildfire threats extending to the Panhandle, South Plains, Permian Basin, and parts of the Hill Country.
