As per reports, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has classified the truck attack at Temple Israel synagogue in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan, as a Hezbollah-inspired act of terrorism on Monday (30 March).

• The incident originally occurred on 12 March, when an individual drove a Ford F-150 truck through the synagogue doors into a hallway of an early childhood education area.
• The FBI stated that the individual had made a video before the attack expressing intent to cause maximum casualties.
• The vehicle contained commercial-grade fireworks and containers holding more than 113 liters of gasoline.
• The individual exchanged gunfire with a security guard before fatally shooting himself; one security guard sustained injuries.
• Approximately 150 children and staff present at the facility were not injured.
• FBI officials cited videos and social media content discovered on the individual’s accounts, which demonstrated embrace of Hezbollah’s militant ideology and pre-attack searches for Michigan synagogues and Jewish cultural sites.
