As per reports, a 29-year-old man was fatally shot around 2140 hours (local time) on Friday (26 September) at the intersection of West Howe Street and South Morton Street in downtown Bloomington.

• Initial investigation has indicated a disturbance between the victim and the driver of a passenger car; the shooter has reportedly exited a dark-colored sedan, fired a handgun, and fled at high speed.
• Police have urged nearby residents and businesses to review camera footage for the vehicle entering or leaving the area and to contact Detective Chris Scott with any information.
• A police investigation has been launched, and search efforts for the suspect vehicle have been ongoing.
