As per reports, traffic disruptions are expected in central Athens from Friday (13 February) afternoon as farmers plan a protest rally outside the Greek Parliament. Protest organisers stated that demonstrators intend to arrive with tractors and remain at the location overnight.

• The demonstration is scheduled to begin at 1600 hours local time (1400 hours UTC). Authorities expect congestion in the surrounding streets due to the presence of agricultural vehicles and crowd gatherings near Parliament.
• The protest follows a previous weeks-long campaign by farmers last month, during which highways and border crossings were blocked nationwide to demand higher state subsidies and tax relief. Although the campaign ended after talks with government officials, organisers stated that they are dissatisfied with the concessions offered and claim that announced relief measures have yet to be implemented.
