As per reports, a explosion occurred at a licensed firecracker shop located along the Shamsabad–Roshanabad road in Shamsabad Nagar Panchayat, Farrukhabad district, at around 1430 hours (local time) on Thursday (01 October).
• The shop, reportedly owned by a licensed firecracker seller, was closed and locked at the time of the incident, while the owner was at his residence. The explosion was reportedly powerful enough to completely destroy the shop’s permanent room and roof.
• The blast caused panic among people in the surrounding area, with a crowd gathering at the site after hearing the explosion. Police and the Circle Officers reached the location, inspected the scene and initiated an investigation.
• The cause of the explosion has not yet been established, and authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. No casualties have been reported so far.
