As per reports, several personnel from the South Sulawesi Regional Police Mobile Brigade Corps (Satbrimob) were deployed following an explosion incident that occurred at a cafe located on Jalan Sunu, Tallo District, at Makassar in South Sulawesi in the afternoon hours on Thursday (18 December).

• To ensure the security of the affected area, the police reportedly deployed a bomb disposal team from the South Sulawesi Regional Police’s Mobile Brigade Corps (Satbrimob) Bomb Squad, including the Inafis team, to conduct a crime scene investigation (TKP).
• Based on preliminary reports, the incident is likely attributed to having originated from a leaking LPG gas cylinder, while the Bomb Squad was deployed to ensure safety and order of the situation.
