As per reports, the Sri Lankan government has reinstated its Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) system, making it mandatory for all tourists to obtain an electronic permit before entering the country. The system will come into effect from Wednesday (15 October) following a Supreme Court ruling that rolled back the eVisa platform introduced in April 2024.
