As per reports, the Indian Army, the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Jammu & Kashmir Police, and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) are continuing their cordon and search operation in Kathua on Tuesday (01 April), for the ninth consecutive day.

Reportedly, three militants are believed to be trapped Panjtirthi area of Jathana, Kathua, following which further search operations were initiated on Monday (31 March) at around 2200 hours. During the searches, security forces came under intense fire, leading to a gunfight. Security forces have sealed off the location, and reinforcements have been rushed to the spot.
