As per reports, an emergency weather warning has been issued by the Russian Hydrometeorological Center for Moscow, in effect between Thursday (08 January) 1500 hours local time (1200 hours UTC) and Friday (09 January) 2100 hours local time (1800 hours UTC).

A warning has been issued due to a sharp deterioration in weather conditions caused by a contrasting atmospheric front associated with a Mediterranean cyclone.
