As per reports, the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters activated a level three emergency response to flooding in Shandong Province on Sunday (07 July) as heavy rainfall continues in the region.

Forecasts indicate torrential rain until Saturday (13 July), which is expected to raise water levels in major rivers flowing through Shandong and neighbouring regions.

• The Ministry of Emergency Management has urged local governments in ten flood-affected regions, including Hunan, Shandong, and Henan, to increase patrols along levees and reservoirs to mitigate potential risks.
