As per reports, two lanes of I-69 at Beltway 8 in north Houston are closed as of 2000 hours (local time) on Tuesday (02 September) for emergency repairs. The repairs are expected to last until the early hours of Wednesday (03 September).
• The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has confirmed that crews are removing damaged concrete and repouring new material before reopening the main lanes.
• The exact cause of the concrete damage has not yet been disclosed. Repair work is ongoing, with authorities aiming to complete the project and reopen lanes by 0500 hours (local time) on Wednesday (03 September).
