As per the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG), an earthquake of magnitude 5.9 occurred in the sea 72 kilometers southwest of Bayah Banten at 0753 WIB. Tremors of varying intensity were felt; IV Surade, IV Sukabumi, III Pelabuhan Ratu, III Cianjur, III Panggarangan, III Lebak, III Garut, III Tanjung Lesung, III Kota Sukabumi, II-III Lembang, II-III Soreang, II – III Cibabat , II – III Cimahi, II – III West Bandung, II – III Bandung City, II Purwakarta, II Bogor, II South Tangerang, II Depok, II Central Jakarta.
