As per reports, several hundred farmers blocked the Latur-Ambejogai highway in Renapur tehsil for two hours on Monday afternoon (10 June), protesting the alleged delay in distributing drought subsidies and other relief measures. The Shetkari Sanghatana (Farmers’ organisation) organised the protest.

Farmers also closed the Renapur tehsil (administrative division) office gate before a two-hour sit-down stir at Pimpalphata on the Latur-Ambejogai highway. A memorandum of demands was submitted to Nayab Tehsildar (Deputy Revenue Officer) Ugle.
