As per reports, Tokyo and neighboring areas in eastern Japan experienced disruptions due to heavy snowfall on Tuesday (06 February).
• The heavy snowfall resulted in over 130 individuals being hospitalized in Tokyo due to slips and falls.
• Kanagawa Prefecture reported more than 30 injuries, while Saitama Prefecture recorded over 50 minor injuries.
• Most sections of East Japan Railway’s Chuo Line and Ome Line, were temporarily suspended, but resumed operations by Tuesday afternoon (06 February).
• All Nippon Airways and Japan Airlines canceled approximately 30 domestic flights, primarily to and from Tokyo’s Haneda airport.
