According to reports, disruptions due to heavy rainfall and thunderstorm were reported in parts of Gujarat, on Monday (13 May) evening hours.
• Uprooting of trees and electricity disruptions were reported across Dedyapada, Sagabara and Rajpipla areas of Narmada district.
• Ahmedabad witnessed strong winds and a dust-storm, accompanied by light rainfall in the evening hours, that led to reduced visibility in the city.
• Temporary sheds placed near DGP office in Gandhinagar were damaged due to the dust-storm. No injuries were reported due to the incident.
• IMD’s nowcast warning has issued yellow alert for light rainfall in Morbi, Jamnagar, Junagarh, Amreli, Botad, Bhavnagar, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Khera, Vadoadara, Bharuch, Surat, Valsad, and Tapi districts, till late hours of Monday (13 May).
• IMD’s nowcast warning has issued orange alert for moderate to heavy rainfall in Ahmedabad, Banaskantha, Patan, Rajkot, and Surendra Nagar districts, till late hours of Monday (13 May).
• IMD has also issued yellow alert for rainfall and thunderstorm for Ahmedabad, Anand, Bharuch, Surat and Valsad districts, on Tuesday (14 May).
