According to the Delhi Police, elaborate security checks are to be introduced on and before Friday (26 January), due to the upcoming occasion of Republic Day. Shri H G S Dhaliwal, Spl. CP Traffic (Zone-II) held a press conference for the same;

• The borders will be sealed from 2200 hours on Thursday (25 January). Heavy transport vehicles and light goods vehicles will be barred, leading to movement restrictions.
• On Friday (26 January), elaborate security checks will be done from early morning itself, prompting traffic to be altered as per situational requirements.
