As per reports, metro rail services in Maryland are experiencing disruptions due to a disabled work vehicle on the tracks near the Grosvenor-Strathmore station, during the morning hours of Friday (10 April).

As of 0950 hours local time (1350 hours UTC) on Friday (10 April), services on the Red Line operated by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority are single-tracking between Grosvenor-Strathmore and Medical Center stations.

• This operational adjustment is reportedly causing delays to services in both directions.
• Additionally, some trains are terminating at Van Ness station to help manage congestion and reduce traffic buildup along the line.
• Authorities have not confirmed a timeline for the removal of the disabled vehicle or the full restoration of normal service.
