The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued the following Forecast and Nowcast warnings for Uttarakhand on Thursday (13 August), as per the District-wise forecast PDF document issued at 1830 hours (local time) on Wednesday (12 August).

• Forecast: A yellow alert has been issued for heavy rainfall likely at isolated places in Dehradun, Tehri Garhwal, Nainital, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar and Champawat, while thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and intense to very intense spells of rainfall are likely at isolated places in Almora, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Champawat, Pauri Garhwal, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Tehri Garhwal, Uttarkashi and Nainital. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are likely at isolated places in Udham Singh Nagar.
• Nowcast: A yellow alert has been issued for light rainfall of less than 05 millimeters per hour in Almora, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Champawat, Dehradun, Nainital, Pauri Garhwal, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Tehri Garhwal and Uttarkashi. The alert is valid until 0700 hours (local time) on Thursday (13 August).
