The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued the following Forecast and Nowcast warnings for Tamil Nadu on Sunday (04 October), as per the latest updates issued on Saturday (03 October).
• Warning: A yellow alert for thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, and squalls has been issued across all districts of Tamil Nadu.
• Nowcast: A yellow alert has been issued for moderate rainfall of 05 to 15 millimeters per hour and light thunderstorms with maximum surface wind speeds of less than 40 kilometers per hour in Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Theni, Dindigul, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam and Ramanathapuram. The alert is valid until 0400 hours (local time) on Sunday (04 October).
