• Warning: A yellow alert has been issued for thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls in Ariyalur, Chengalpattu, Chennai, Coimbatore, Cuddalore, Dharmapuri, Dindigul, Erode, Kallakurichi, Kanchipuram, Kanniyakumari, Karur, Krishnagiri, Madurai, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Namakkal, Nilgiris, Perambalur, Pudukkottai, Ramanathapuram, Ranipet, Salem, Sivaganga, Tenkasi, Thanjavur, Theni, Thoothukudi, Tiruchirappalli, Tirunelveli, Tirupathur, Tiruppur, Tiruvallur, Tiruvannamalai, Tiruvarur, Vellore, Viluppuram, and Virudhunagar on Sunday (02 August).
• Nowcast: As of the latest available update at 0500 hours (local time) on Sunday (02 August), no nowcast warning has been issued through 0700 hours (local time) on Sunday (02 August).
