The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued the following Forecast and Nowcast warnings for Kerala on Tuesday (06 October), as per the latest updates issued on Monday (05 October).
• Forecast: A yellow alert for heavy rainfall, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and squalls, and strong surface winds has been issued across all districts of Kerala.
• Nowcast: A yellow alert for light rainfall measuring less than five millimetres per hour has been issued for Kasaragod, Thrissur, Idukki, Pathanamthitta and Thiruvananthapuram. The alert is valid until 0400 hours (local time) on Tuesday (06 October).
