The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued the following Forecast and Nowcast warnings for Saturday (24 October) as per the district-wise forecast PDF document issued at 2100 hours (local time) on Friday (23 October).
• Forecast: An orange alert has been issued for isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad and Malappuram districts.
• Forecast: A yellow alert has been issued for isolated heavy rainfall in Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts.
• Nowcast: A yellow alert has been issued for moderate rainfall of 05 to 15 millimeters per hour and light rainfall of less than 05 millimeters per hour, accompanied by light thunderstorms and maximum surface wind speeds of less than 40 kilometers per hour across all districts of Kerala. The alert is valid until 0400 hours local time on Saturday (24 October).
