The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued the following forecast and nowcast warnings across parts of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday (15 October).
• Warning: A yellow alert has been issued for thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, squalls, and strong surface winds across all districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
• Nowcast: An orange alert has been issued for light rainfall of less than 05 millimeters per hour, accompanied by light thunderstorms and maximum surface wind speeds below 40 kilometres per hour, across all districts of Jammu and Kashmir. The alert is valid until 0500 hours (local time) on Thursday (15 October).
