The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued the following forecast warnings across parts of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday (09 August), as per the latest updates issued on Saturday (08 August).
• Warning: A yellow alert has been issued for thunderstorms, lightning and squalls for Poonch, Mirpur, Rajauri, Jammu, Reasi, Udhampur, Samba, Kathua, Kishtwar, Ramban and Doda on Sunday (09 August). No alert has been issued for the rest of the districts on Sunday (09 August).
• Nowcast: A yellow alert has been issued for light rainfall and thunderstorms, along with winds less than 40 kilometres per hour for Kishtwar, Anantnag, Kulgam, Ganderbal, Budgam, Shopian, Srinagar, Pulwama, Budgam, Udhampur and Samba, valid till 0400 hours (local time) on Sunday (09 August) No alert has been issued for the rest of the districts, valid till 0400 hours (local time) on Sunday (09 August).
