The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued the following Forecast and Nowcast warnings for Jammu and Kashmir on Monday (31 August) as per the latest updates issued on Sunday (30 August).
• Warning: An orange alert has been issued for heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning and squalls for Reasi, Ramban, Poonch, Jammu, Samba and Udhampur on Monday (31 August).
• Warning: A yellow alert has been issued for thunderstorms, lightning and squalls for Muzaffarabad, Kupwara, Baramulla, Bandipora, Ganderbal, Anantnag, Kishtwar, Doda, Kathua, Mirpur, Rajouri, Budgam, Kulgam and Shopian on Monday (31 August). No alert has been issued for Pulwama and Srinagar on Monday (31 August).
• Nowcast: A yellow alert has been issued for light rainfall, light thunderstorms and winds of less than 40 kilometres per hour for Rajouri, Reasi, Jammu, Udhampur, Samba and Kathua, valid till 0400 hours (local time) on Monday (31 August). No alert has been issued for the remaining districts, valid till 0400 hours (local time) on Monday (31 August).
