The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued the following Forecast and Nowcast warnings for Gujarat on Thursday (17 September), as per the District-wise forecast PDF document issued at 1200 hours (local time) on Wednesday (16 September).
• Forecast: A yellow alert for light thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, surface winds reaching 30 to 40 kilometres per hour and light to moderate rainfall at isolated places has been issued across all districts of Gujarat.
• Nowcast: The latest Nowcast was valid until 0400 hours (local time) on Thursday (17 September). Updated information is awaited.
