As per the Central Weather Administration advisory issued on Saturday (11 April), a yellow heat wave advisory has been issued for parts of Taiwan, including Tainan City and Pingtung County,, where daily maximum temperatures are expected to reach 36 degrees Celsius.
• Residents have been advised to reduce outdoor activities and avoid strenuous exercise, while taking precautions such as staying hydrated, avoiding direct sun exposure, and monitoring for signs of heat-related illnesses.
• Additional measures include maintaining indoor ventilation, using cooling methods such as fans or ice packs, and minimizing prolonged exposure to high-temperature environments, particularly for vulnerable groups including the elderly, children, individuals with chronic conditions, and those engaged in outdoor work or physical activities.
