The Central Weather Administration (CWA) has issued orange and yellow heat alerts at 0727 hours (local time) on Saturday (20 June), valid until 1700 hours (local time) on the same day.

• An orange heat alert has been issued for Chiayi County and Hualien County, where daily maximum temperatures are expected to reach 36 degrees Celsius for three consecutive days.
• A yellow heat alert has been issued for Keelung City, Taipei City, New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Taichung City, Changhua County, Nantou County, Yunlin County, Chiayi City, Tainan City, Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County, and Taitung County, where daily maximum temperatures are expected to reach 36 degrees Celsius.
