The Central Weather Administration (CWA) has issued a heavy rain advisory for parts of southern Taiwan on Friday (12 June).

• The advisory is in effect for Chiayi City, Chiayi County, Tainan City, Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County and the Hengchun Peninsula.
• Periods of heavy rainfall are expected across the affected areas, with weather conditions likely to persist through Friday (12 June).
