As per reports, a crane collapsed at the Boston Harbor Shipyard and Marina in East Boston while moving a barge on Thursday (07 November).
• The rigging unexpectedly snapped, causing the barge to fall into the water, damaging a section of the dock and a nearby boat.
• Although no injuries were reported, the incident has posed ongoing risks due to the unsecured crane and potential environmental impacts from a fuel spill into the harbor.
• The Boston Fire Department initiated precautionary measures, including deploying divers and marine units to assess and contain the situation.
