As per reports, Maharashtra recorded 70 new COVID-19 cases on Monday (01 January), with a positivity rate of 2.09 percent. There were no reported deaths on that day, and 32 individuals were discharged. As of now, the state has 693 active cases, out of which 42 are in hospitals, and the remaining cases are in home isolation.
