As per reports, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has reportedly instructed leaders of the INDIA alliance to stay on high alert and be prepared to reach New Delhi within 24 hours to coordinate potential opposition mobilisations. Isolated protests are likely in Delhi on Wednesday (14 October) against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
• The leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have been instructed to be on the alert. Intelligence agencies have reported Jantar Mantar can be surrounded.
• Meanwhile, the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) leaders who were arrested during the protest that broke into Jantar Mantar have been remanded in five-day judicial custody. The court has remanded CJP leaders Saurav Das, Ashutosh Ranka and Ajinkya Shinde that they will be sent to jail.
• Delhi Police has announced that the presence of central forces in Delhi is required until Tuesday (20 October).
