As per reports, the Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD), the German Weather Service, forecasts cold weather conditions to persist in parts of Germany through Thursday (18 April).

• A yellow frost warning has been issued for the regions of Brandenburg, Hamburg, Berlin, Bavaria, Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Thuringia, and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern from 0130 hours (local time) until 1130 hours (local time) on Thursday (18 April). Light snowfall can be anticipated in Thuringia region until 1230 hours (local time) on Thursday (18 April).
• A yellow thunderstorm warning, with strong wind gusts of up to 60 km/h, is in effect in the regions of North Rhine-Westphalia, Saarland, and Rhineland-Palatinate through 1800 hours (local time) on Wednesday (17 April).
• A yellow warning of snowfall has been issued for parts of Baden-Württemberg from 2130 hours (local time) on Wednesday (17 April) to 1530 hours (local time) on Thursday (18 April).
• An orange snowfall warning, with up to 60 cm of snowfall expected, has been issued for the Bavarian Alps region. The warning will remain valid until 0330 hours (local time) on Friday (19 April).
