As per reports, city officials in Denver have confirmed that a segment of Santa Fe Drive in south Denver will be fully closed from Monday (10 November) to 14 November to allow Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway (BNSF) to carry out rail track replacement work deemed necessary for public safety.
• The closure will begin at 0400 hours local time (1100 hours UTC) on Monday (10 November) at Cedar Avenue (just north of Alameda Avenue) and remain in effect until 1700 hours local time (0000 hours UTC) on 14 November.
• While northbound Santa Fe Drive traffic will still be permitted to turn east or west onto Alameda Avenue, significant delays are anticipated.
• The official detour routes drivers west on Alameda Avenue to Federal Boulevard.
• Local traffic north of Alameda Avenue may continue on Santa Fe Drive up to Cedar Avenue, where motorists must either join Interstate 25 northbound or reverse direction onto Kalamath Drive.
• Motorists using Interstate 25 are advised to avoid the Alameda Avenue exit during this closure period to prevent congestion.
