As per reports, the A81 motorway between Sindelfingen-Ost and Böblingen-Hulb is scheduled to be fully closed in both directions from Friday (29 November) 2200 hours (local time) till Monday (02 December) 0500 hours (local time) for the partial demolition of the Böblingen Elephant Bridge.
• During the closure, all traffic between Stuttgart and Singen will be diverted through Sindelfingen’s city center, potentially causing significant congestion.
• The designated diversion routes include Mahdental, Neckar, Hanns-Martin-Schleyer, and Calwer Strasse, as well as the B464.
• Pedestrians and cyclists will also face restrictions, as there will be no connection via the A81 between the Goldberg district and the Goldberg S-Bahn stop from Thursday (28 November) till Thursday (05 December).
• A temporary pedestrian and cyclist bridge near the Sindelfingen, Leipziger Straße stop will become operational on Thursday (05 December).
