Closure of A59 near Düsseldorf announced on Monday (27 January)

As per reports, the A59 near Düsseldorf is closed due to significant road damage between Monheim and Düsseldorf-Garath. The full closure began at 0600 hours (local time) on Monday (27 January), and will last until 1700 hours (local time) on Saturday (01 February).

• The reason for the closure is the renewal of the roadway, including repairs to cracked or broken concrete slabs.
• The A59 closure is part of ongoing renovation work, and further closures may occur in the coming months.
• The A59 currently serves as a diversion for the A3 closure near Solingen.
