As per reports, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has received permission from the Mumbai Police to organise the ‘Lehrao Tiranga’ (tricolour) rally at Azad Maidan in Mumbai on Friday (16 October). The event is scheduled to take place from 1000 to 1700 hours (local time).
• On Thursday (15 October), heavy police deployment and barricading were observed at Azad Maidan as part of the security arrangements ahead of the rally.
• Police personnel were instructing protesters to conduct their demonstrations within the grounds and refrain from assembling at the entrance gates or on adjoining roads.
