As per reports, Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to attend the 2026 Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, from Sunday to Thursday (30 August-03 September), and pay a state visit to Kyrgyzstan at the invitation of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov.
• The SCO Summit will bring together participating heads of state and senior officials in Bishkek. Xi Jinping is expected to hold discussions with participating leaders on SCO cooperation and major international and regional issues.
• During his visit to Kyrgyzstan, Xi Jinping is expected to hold talks with President Sadyr Japarov on bilateral relations, cooperation in key areas, and international and regional developments, in addition to attending state events.
• No specific timings or traffic restrictions have been announced yet.
